【Heating the Iron】The guitar bending iron has a maximum temperature of about 290 degrees. However, in most cases, you do not need the iron to be that hot. Between 120 and 180 degrees is the ideal temperature for bending most woods. To achieve this temperature, set the dial to your requirements and wait about 15-30 minutes for the iron to heat up.
